My name is Vijay, and I am the author of this site.

For my day job, I am the Data Analytics Lead at Malaá. I created this blog with two primary goals

1. To expand my knowledge of data science by experimenting and writing about exciting use cases.
2. To exchange thoughts and experiences with a broader audience.

To successfully implement a data science project, it is vital to combine technical expertise with business knowledge on use cases and real-world problems. Identifying and implementing real-world use cases is still a big challenge for many organizations.

Why V2K? Many years ago, I started using V2K as a short form for my full name Vijay Krishna Venkataraman (2-V’s and 1-K). It stuck, and I have used it everywhere ever since!

I am a passionate KNIME user. I build data-oriented solutions using open source tools like the KNIME Analytics platform, R, Python, and SQL.
